Ade Taiwo

Ade Taiwo is a redshirt senior at North Carolina State University. The Raleigh native and graduate of Cardinal Gibbons High School, Taiwo was named the 2012 North Carolina Gatorade Player of the year and also won two state championships with Cardinal Gibbons. He was also a member of the U17 United States National Team Residency Program. At NC State, he played in five matches and recorded one assist before redshirting in 2014, his first year. In his redshirt freshman year, 2015, he earned the start in five of the 16 games he appeared in. He tallied four points for the season, two goals. His redshirt junior year was cut short by injury, but he appeared in six games, starting five, and scored three goals. In 2017, his redshirt junior year, Taiwo appeared in 17 matches and was named to the starting role nine times. With two goals and four assists, Taiwo was third on the team in points (8) and tied for the top in assists.
